![]() ![]() Jeez I just want this farmer family to adopt me. This book so wonderfully and beautifully explores trauma. But I do think these books can be read as standalones!!! I do think I am going to try and read the rest of the series in order because there were a few things where I was like wait what? Did I read that right that Griff is friends with his ex? And his fiancé and his ex are going into business together? Like how does that work? Basically I want more context for the series. ![]() ![]() I did find myself missing out a bit more on some background stuff in this book than I did with Heartland, but not enough to make me lost or confused. I liked how each book can be read as a standalone. And then I read this one only because they mentioned Zach also came from the compound in Heartland. There are seven books in this series and apparently I’m just not going to read them in order. Say “I love you” without actually saying “I love you”: “I’ll be your Apostate Farm.” □□□ But how easily can you trust when others have hurt you?
